Emily’s 17th Birthday Fundraiser for the National Veterans Foundation

Emily Rahhal is a 16 year old high school junior whose 17th birthday is on Veterans Day, 2015.  Emily has dedicated her birthday to supporting the National Veterans Foundation and our programs serving Veterans in-need.  She and her family will host a benefit for the NVF in conjunction with her birthday party on November 7th.

“Hi, I’m Emily Rahhal and I share my birthday with National Veterans Day, November 11.

In honor of this coincidence, my family and I will be hosting a joint birthday party and benefit to support the veterans who put their own lives in jeopardy to protect ours.

22 veterans commit suicide every day.

Together, we can drastically lower that number.

Our generation has such a unique opportunity to be heard: we are all constantly connected and have ample platforms to speak our minds. Let’s use this opportunity to raise awareness for the devastatingly large number of veterans who take their own lives.”

To support Emily’s fundraiser for the NVF, visit the NVF’s donation page and enter “Emily’s Birthday” in the dedication field.

You can be a part of our mission to help Veterans by making a tax-deductible donation!
