We waited a long time to be able to add Jim to our team. One of the most-decorated helicopter pilots in the Vietnam war, White earned the nickname “Sneaky” because he was so effective extracting troops under siege in the jungle.

He fills a position he basically created and that we’ve long needed: specialist for incarcerated veterans nationwide who need guidance upon release. He’s successfully guided many vets into productive civilian lives.

You’ve read about him in our newsletters and in our blogs for HuffPost. From starting a vet group in a prison, he moved on to creating a program for inmates to get college credit and job certification while incarcerated. He also raised over $350,000 for veteran and community causes from inmates.

This expansion into an under-served population of veterans widens the net for veterans and their families. Jim’s experience and knowledge puts him in a category all his own.

You can be a part of our mission to help Veterans by making a tax-deductible donation!
