When Johnny and Jane Come Marching Home Project

When Johnny and Jane Come Marching HomeThe Welcome the Johnny and Jane Home Coalition's mission is to depathologize war trauma (stop saying that those troubled by war are therefore mentally ill) and increase the use of non-pathologizing, low-risk ways to help veterans heal emotionally, morally, and spiritually. The full mission statement can be found here.

The Coalition currently includes, among others, the Military Officers Association of America, the National Veterans Foundation, the Women in Military Service to America Memorial Foundation, International Society for Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry, Iraq Veterans Against the War, and Soldier's Heart.

The Pathway Home

Pathway HomeThe Pathway Home Program is a nonprofit, non-governmental Residential Recovery program specifically created for, and dedicated to serve, our Nation’s “New Warriors”—those of any age, who have served our Nation’s Global War on Terror in areas of the world such as Afghanistan and Iraq. Our New Warriors have survived the stressors of war, but may find themselves experiencing problems that are getting in the way of their post-deployment functioning.

The Pathway Program can help to address those problems and maximize each Warrior’s mental and physical heath, coping, resiliency, and overall functioning—whether  that is post-deployment, re-deployment, or civilian status. The Pathway Home is a true community where we band together to embrace and assist our Nation's heroes by providing the respect, guidance, and support that each Warrior needs to rebound from combat or other challenging military experiences.

A Year Without War
