Set in the mid-70's, six Marine aviator wives gather in the “ready room” at the Marine Corps Air Station, having been summoned in the middle of the night because ONE of their husbands’ planes has crashed.  They support each other through the night, while each desperately hopes that her husband isn’t the pilot not coming home.  One challenges them with the question: “Who do you hope it is?”

Jet-powered boat to raise money for returning veterans

Submitted by airborne on Mon, 09/17/2007 - 10:08.

FORT PIERCE — Arnie Gemino builds fast boats. But now he's creating one like no other. A former commercial pilot and owner of Fort Pierce-based Thriller Powerboats Inc., Gemino is dropping two fighter jet engines into his company's high-speed catamaran, creating an extreme machine with 25,000 horsepower.

Photo of jet boat in action "When those afterburners kick in, you're going to get rid of all the wrinkles on your face," he said.
He is not looking to break speed records but to intrigue onlookers. The Thriller F-4 Phantom II Jet Boat is going on a national tour to raise money for war veterans.

Called "The Sound of Freedom," the campaign also will feature the Thriller F-16 Viper Jet Dragster. Another Gemino company, Tradepower International, built the vehicle and enlisted race car veteran Dick Rosberg as one of its drivers.
