Special Ops Veterans Scholarships

The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation’s focus is on providing Special Ops Veterans Scholarships to current and former special operations professionals, from all branches of the government, the means necessary to transition and succeed in civilian life through:

  • Scholarships for current or former Special Operation Professionals used for traditional education
  • Scholarships for current or former Special Operations Professionals used for vocational and non-traditional training

From the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation’s website:

Glen Doherty was one of four Americans killed in a terror attack in Benghazi, Libya. This Memorial Foundation is our way to honor Glen’s life and to help others by paying it forward. Although the attack began on September 11th, Glen fought hard throughout the night and saved many before succumbing to a mortar attack in the early hours of September 12th. Glen died serving with men he respected, protecting the freedoms we enjoy as Americans and doing something he loved. He is an American Hero to those who did not know him; but for those who did he is a best friend who leaves behind a giant hole in our hearts. He believed life should be earned by hard work and hard play. Celebrate this beautiful world that we live in, recreate as much as humanly possible. Help others, and surround yourself with people that you respect who challenge you and make you a better person. Through this Foundation our goal is to pay it forward, to spread Glen’s love and passion for life to as many individuals as possible.
The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation is our way to honor Glen’s life and his beliefs. Glen believed in education, improving oneself and building skills.
